Comprehensive Coverage Options
001
Revenue Protection
Revenue Protection helps protect your farm when declining prices, reduced yields, or a combination of both causes your insured revenue to fall below the policy guarantee. Coverage is based on your approved production history, selected coverage level, insured acreage and applicable projected and harvest prices. Because every operation has different yields, marketing plans, expenses and risk tolerance, the right coverage level is not the same for every producer. Delta Crop Insurance helps farmers compare available options and understand how Revenue Protection may respond under different price and yield scenarios.

Yield Protection
Yield Protection is designed for producers who want coverage primarily against a loss in production caused by insured risks such as drought, excessive moisture, wind, disease and other covered conditions. The policy guarantee is generally based on your approved production history, selected coverage level and the applicable projected price. Unlike Revenue Protection, the guarantee does not increase because of a higher harvest price. Delta Crop Insurance can help you compare Yield Protection with revenue-based coverage and determine which approach better fits your crops, marketing strategy and overall risk-management plan.

ECO & SCO Coverages
Enhanced Coverage Option and Supplemental Coverage Option provide additional area-based protection above an underlying crop-insurance policy. These endorsements can help cover part of the gap between your individual policy guarantee and a higher percentage of expected county revenue or yield. Because payments are based on county results, an individual farm can experience a loss without triggering an ECO or SCO payment—and the reverse can also occur. Eligibility, availability and interaction with other farm-program decisions can vary. Delta Crop Insurance helps producers compare the potential protection, cost and limitations before adding either endorsement.

Prevent Plant and Replant Coverages
Wet conditions, flooding and other insured causes can prevent a crop from being planted on time or require damaged acres to be replanted. Prevented planting and replant provisions may provide protection when all policy requirements are satisfied, but eligibility depends on factors such as acreage history, planting dates, weather conditions, farming practices and timely notice. These situations are highly fact-specific, and decisions made in the field can affect the claim. Contact Delta Crop Insurance before replanting, destroying a crop or making another use of affected acreage so the situation can be properly reported and reviewed.

Claim Assistance
A successful crop-insurance claim begins with timely communication and good records. If you believe an insured crop has been damaged or may fall below its guarantee, contact Delta Crop Insurance as soon as possible. We will help submit the notice of loss, explain the next steps and identify the production records or documentation the adjuster may need. Producers should not destroy, replant, harvest or put damaged acreage to another use without receiving the required guidance or consent. The approved insurance provider and assigned adjuster determine claim eligibility and payment under the policy, while we help you navigate the process from initial notice through completion.
